PETERSON

PETERSON

PETERSON

PETERSON
I—I don't remember—no sir, I did not write to anybody.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY
Oh! You didn' t ? I thought maybe you did. Didn't you write to your mother? Eh?
PETERSON
(With a start. Aside.)Oh, this is some lawyer's trick. She must have burned the letter I wrote her.
(Aloud.)
No sir, I didn't write to anyone!
